Standard toolbar

The standard toolbar is always visible. Some options are only active if at least one Model Editor window is open and you have write access to the model selected in the active Model Editor window. In the following section the function of each tool button is explained briefly.

New Model
Invokes the Create New Model dialog to create a new model of type Library, System, Module, Primitive, FSM, or Probe. This toolbar button is always active.
Open Model
Invokes the Select File or Model dialog which mainly consists of the Library Tree View from which you can choose a model or file to be opened in the appropriate editor. This toolbar button is always active.
Save Model
Saves the modifications to the model in the active Model Editor window. This toolbar button is only active if the model has been modified.
Save All Models
Save the modifications of all models in open Model Editor windows. This toolbar button is only active if at least one of the models has been modified.
Print Model
Prints the model in the active Model Editor window. Models can be sent directly to a printer or saved as a PostScript file. This toolbar button is active if at least one Model Editor window is open.
Reload Model
Reloads the model in the active Model Editor window. This toolbar button is only active if a Model Editor window is open and the model it contains is modified.
Online Documentation
Opens the document browser showing the hypertext documentation for the model. This toolbar button is only active if at least one Model Editor window is open.
Delete
Deletes all selected objects in the active Model Editor window. This toolbar button is only active if you have write access to the model and at least one model element selected.
Cut
Moves all selected objects of the model in the active Model Editor window to the clipboard. The contents of the clipboard can be used to paste the objects into another model. This toolbar button is only active if you have write access to the model and at least one model element selected.
Copy
Copies all selected objects of the model in the active Model Editor window to the clipboard. The contents of the clipboard can be used to paste the objects in another model. This toolbar button is only active if at least one model element is selected.
Paste
Insert the contents of the clipboard to the model in the active Model Editor window provided that the content of the clipboard is compatible with the model. This toolbar button is only active if you have write access to the model and the clipboard contains model elements that are compatible with the model.
Undo
Reverses the last change made to your model. This toolbar button is only active if at least one Model Editor window is open and at least one change has been made to the model.
Redo
Reverses the last undo operation. This toolbar button is only active if at least one Model Editor window is open and at least one undo step has been performed.
Zoom In
Selects the next higher zoom level for the active Model Editor window. This toolbar button is only active, if at least one Model Editor window is open.
Zoom Out
Selects the next lower zoom level for the active Model Editor window. This toolbar button is only active if at least one Model Editor window is open.
Zoom To Fit
Selects a zoom level for the active Model Editor window where the entire model is visible in the Model Editor window. This toolbar button is only active if at least one Model Editor window is open.
Tree View
Opens and closes the Tree View window. This toolbar button operates as a check button. If the button is checked, the Tree View window is visible. If the button is not checked, the Tree View window is hidden. This toolbar button is always active.
Property Editor
Opens and closes the Property Editor window. This toolbar button operates as a check button. If the button is checked, the Property Editor window is visible. If the button is not checked, the Property Editor window is hidden. This toolbar button is only active in Edit Mode.
Console View
Opens and closes the Console View. This toolbar button operates as a check button. If the button is checked, the Console View is visible. If the button is not checked, the Console View is hidden. This toolbar button is only active in Edit Mode.
Data Structure View
Opens and closes the Data Structure View. This toolbar button operates as a check button. If the button is checked, the Data Structure View is visible. If the button is not checked, the Data Structure View is hidden. This toolbar button is always active.
Previous
Switches to the previously active Model Editor window, that is, the previous Model Editor window within the workspace becomes the active Model Editor window. This toolbar button is only active if at least two Model Editor windows are open.
Next
Switches to the next Model Editor window, that is, the next Model Editor window within the workspace becomes the active Model Editor window. This toolbar button is only active if at least two Model Editor windows are open within your workspace.
Cascade
Switches to cascade mode, that is, all Model Editor windows have an arbitrary size and are placed at arbitrary positions inside the workspace. Each Model Editor window overlaps the other in this mode. This toolbar button is only active if at least two Model Editor windows are open.
Tile
Switches to tile mode, that is, the workspace is divided in equally sized parts. The size of all Model Editor windows is such that each window is visible and regularly spaced. This toolbar button is only active if at least two Model Editor windows are open.
Full
Switches to full mode, that is, all Model Editor windows are sized to fit the entire workspace. Only the active Model Editor window is visible in this mode. This toolbar button is only active if at least one Model Editor window is open within the workspace.
